It’s time to challenge the world.
Simple traditional design.
Symbolizes “Japanese identity.”
The “TAKERU” frame is the brainchild of a former KEIRIN(short track) racer who leveraged their expertise in “driving” and inherited the legendary “racy driving” pedigree of bicycle racing. With a profound understanding of the dynamics between rider and machine, this innovative frame was crafted by a KEIRIN veteran with an intimate understanding of the details and complexities of “riding”. DONTZER, the bicycle workshop behind “TAKERU,” was founded in 1991 by a former KEIRIN racer whose unique blend of racing expertise and craftsmanship sets them apart from other NJS-KEIRIN workshops*.
Built on a legacy of excellence, the brand’s philosophy revolves around three core principles: firstly “straightness,” the foundation of “riding”; “safety,” to ensure a secure experience; and “riding comfort,” to provide ordinary users with a smooth and comfortable ride. By combining these elements, DONTZER creates bicycles that inspire confidence and joy.
The “TAKERU” draws inspiration from a hero in ancient Japanese history, symbolised by the iconic Japanese sun motif. As its namesake suggests, the “TAKERU” offers a satisfying ride for every cyclist. Whether for leisurely rides or an intense workouts, this exceptional frame promises an unparalleled riding experience.
